Britney Spears took to Twitter in order to share the news that she's recording a song for her sons Sean and Jayden.

Or at least we think so. The singer is currently working on her eighth studio album, and has used the time to record a 'surprise'.

The 'Scream & Shout' singer posted, "I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys. They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited!"

It's thought that 'my boys' refers to Britney's children - Sean Preston, who is 7, and Jayden James, who is 6.

When fans asked for more details, Britney added, "It's a surprise so keep it shhhhh and don't be grouchy. I'll fill you all in soon ;)"

Britney has been working with Hit-Boy on her latest album, who has previously worked with Kanye - among others.

Speaking to MTV News, Hit-Boy said, "I mean Britney, I mean she's amazing. She's been around for years and she's gonna to continue to do her thing. I wanted to just show people that I'm not just a hip-hop producer, that I'm not just an urban world [and] that I'm just a music maker in general."

He continued, "And I can make quality stuff no matter what it is and when she reached out it's like so perfect ... to make it happen.

"So we went in the studio and we started making some ideas already. And it's coming out nice, so I'm excited about that."
