Fleetwood Mac have promised to perform new material on their autumn tour of the UK, but say they are unsure whether fans want to her new tracks.

The drummer was speaking to BBC 6 Music when he said that the band have three new songs which they plan on performing live.

"I hope there's a demand for it," says Mick Fleetwood.

He also said that the songs would be released online, and teased that the new recordings could be part of a new studio album from the band - which would be their first in ten years.

Fleetwood said that the songs were written with Lindsey Buckingham in an attempt to persuade Stevie Nicks back into singing with the band.

He said, "We wanted her to know we wanted to make some new music and we had some great songs. But her mother died not too long after and it wasn't the time for her to do any singing, so we dropped it.

"Then recently she's sung on three of them and recorded one original song of hers, so we're going to mix these songs down and there'll be something that we will play hopefully on stage."

Fleetwood has previously hinted at a new album, saying, "So, we're going to go crazy and there will be something out that we will play onstage and that might become part of a long term plan over the next year.

"Our wish is going to come true and we will finish an album."
