Beyonce's halftime show helped to make the Super Bowl the third most popular TV show ever.
The 2013 Super Bowl was the third most watched TV show ever, with the thirty-five minute blackout not being taken into consideration.
Nielsen data shows that 108.41 million people watched the Super Bowl, with 104 million watching the segment that included Beyonce's halftime performance.
However, both the Super Bowl XLVI and the Super Bowl XLV are in first and second place, respectively, in terms of the most watched TV shows.
Madonna's halftime performance pushed the XLVI event into first place with 114 million viewers, defeating the previous record held by Michael Jackson.
And oddly enough, Beyonce even fell behind the XLV event, which featured a halftime show including a medley from The Black Eyed Peas, a guest appearance from Slash and Usher performing his hit 'OMG' with Will.i.am.
