Lady Gaga has had to postpone four dates on her ongoing Born This Way Ball tour, as she is currently unable to walk due to synovitis.
The two shows in Chicago have been postponed, as well as a date in Detroit and one in Hamilton.
Writing on her Twitter account, the star said, "There's an unfortunate announcement coming out right now, concerning myself and the Born This Ball. Im so sorry. I barely know what to say.
"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now,over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal.
I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."
She continued, "To the fans in Chicago Detroit & Hamilton I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself. Im devasted & sad.
"It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry."
The 'Marry The Night' singer added one last tweet, posting, "Due to a case of synovitis, (severe inflammation of joints) Gaga’s doctor has ordered her to postpone show in Chicago, Detroit + Hamilton."

Producer Zedd - real name Anton Zaslavski - recently spoke to Digital Spy about Gaga's new album.
He said, "She wants me to do the craziest songs I can possibly do. I'm not thinking about fitting a shoe on the right foot. We're doing something completely unique and what we think is new."
