Hurts have debuted their new song 'Sandman' from their forthcoming album Exile, which is set to be released on 11 March.
A reasonably unexpected and refreshingly hip-hop beat runs through the track alongside lead singer Theo Hutchcraft's typically haunting vocals.
The pop chorus and whistle melody make for a new-listen Hurts sound that shows there is a versatility to the duo, which only whets the appetite for their second album.
Speaking of the track, Adam Anderson told Radio 1: "It's a really exciting moment for us to play these new songs because obviously we wrote it with this in mind.
"The first time around we never got to do that."
Hurts' debut album Happiness saw worldwide success including huge popularity across European countries such as Germany and Poland.
Hutchcraft admits that he doesn't mind where the success comes from.
Listen to 'Sandman' below:
He said: "Because it's the only path we've known, it's one thing I really believe in.
"Once we got a sniff that anyone was interested we went to these countries. Eventually, the loyalty pays off. Also, it's fun! You get to travel the world."
The track is available as a free download from the band's official website and was premiered on Zane Lowe's Hottest Record in the World' last night (12 February).
