Led Zeppelin fans might have been given a reason to be hopeful after singer Robert Plant hinted at the possibility of a reunion tour.

The singer, 64, remarked that he had "nothing to do in 2014" and that he was waiting to hear from guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist Jon Paul Jones.

The band previously got back together in 2007 for an epic gig at London's O2, but at the time Plant was said to have blocked a full tour, saying he was too busy with his own music.

But yesterday (February 18) he suggested it was his band mates dragging their feet about the prospect of a tour.

Speaking on Australian TV show 60 Minutes, he said: "They are Capricorns and don't say a word. I'm not the bad guy. You need to see the Capricorns - I've got nothing to do in 2014."

Capricorns are said to be fond of not being under pressure and to dislike new ideas and paths, according to the internet.

When asked about a possible reuninion at a press conference last year Plant reacted angrily, calling the journalist a schmuck.

Before Christmas Jimmy Page revealed that there had been pressure on the band to recruit a new singer when Plant said he was too busy recording with Alison Kruass to go on tour.

The other band members rejected the suggestion saying they were worried a new singer would change the character of the band.

Perhaps 2014 will see Led Zeppelin heading out on tour?

Page is planning on heading out on tour by himself this year, though, meaning any Led Zep plans would have to wait until next year at any rate.

It would seem that Plant has now put the ball well and truly in his bandmates' court.

We can only wait and see.
