Beyonce and Kings Of Leon are both hotly tipped to be named as the main headline acts for this year's V Festival according to the Daily Star.
American rockers, Kings Of Leon are apparently in talks with festival organisers and are 'close' to signing a deal to headline the August weekend which takes place across two sites in Chelmsford and Stafford.
If the band do headline this year's V Festival, then fans will be able to hear tracks from their forthcoming album which is set to be released in the spring.
As well as a new album, Kings Of Leon will be playing shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham this summer which has already sparked rumours that they could be making a Glastonbury appearance.
Beyonce has also emerged as a favourite to headline the event as the festival takes place shortly before her UK and Ireland tour between April and May.
The former Destiny's Child singer also has a new album on the way which she could be showcasing at both Chelmsford and Stafford for V Festival 2013 over the weekend of August 17-18.
Could Kings Of Leon be headlining V Festival 2013?
As it stands neither Beyonce nor Kings Of Leon are on the bill for any other UK festival, adding weight to the suggestion that they will join the V lineup. Kings Of Leon will be headlining Bilboa festival in July though.
Last year's festival saw The Killers and The Stone Roses headline the event, which swaps headline acts between its two venues in Chelmsford and Staffordshire over the two days.
