Nick Cave is in with a chance of topping the UK albums charts for the first time this week, with his album Push The Sky Away taking an early mid-week lead.
According to the Official Charts Company the album had a 72% lead on its nearest rival at the end of Tuesday.
Push The Sky Away is the 15th studio album released by Cave with his band The Bad Seeds.
Even if the album doesn't manage to maintain its position at the top of the charts until Sunday, it will still mark an unusual appearance in the UK top ten for the Australian rock veteran.
He's only made it in to the top ten twice in the past, the best effort being his 2008 outing Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!
Emeli Sande's Our Version Of Events had been creeping up the charts ahead of the BRIT Awards last night, and is likely to experience a further boost after it won British Album Of The Year last night.
Foals, Jake Bugg, Mumford & Sons and the soundtrack to Les Miserables all remain in the top ten at this point, while Calvin Harris' 18 Months looks likely to return.
Nick Cave recently lost it a little with his fans during a Twitter Q&A to promote the new album.
After making it clear that he wasn't doing the session out of choice ("I'[m hating this...beyond measure and I haven't even started yet"), Cave became frustrated with some fans' silly questions.
Push The Sky Away might be Cave's most successful album to date
After one fan asked what he should have for dinner, Cave answered "your wife", and told another to "f**k off" after he asked if he'd rather have the body of a man and the head of a dog or vice versa.
But it doesn't appear to have put people off from buying the record, and Cave might be looking at his biggest UK album success to date.
