Ed Sheeran took a cheeky swipe at fellow singer Duffy at last night's Brit Awards by using her as an example that winning awards doesn't always guarantee future success.
Duffy picked up three Brits in 2009, winning Best British Female, British Single and British Album for Rockferry.
Unfortunately, her career has hit a stumbling block as her second album, Endlessly, flopped and she split from her record label.
When asked if his Brits success in 2012 guaranteed Sheeran a long-term career in music, he swiftly replied, "No".
Explaining his answer, he added: "Because Duffy won three. That was probably in bad taste but... you just need to keep on going I suppose."

The 'A-Team' hitmaker almost dropped another clanger on the night as he admitted to losing his phone during the ceremony which contained some of the material for his next album.
He told Absolute Radio's Pete Donaldson, "I lost my phone... Not the one I use (for calls) but that (one that) has no signal and has my album on it and it isn't locked."
