Frank Ocean might've worried fans when he suggested he may not make another album after Channel Orange, but he recently let slip that he was a fair way into the recording of his next record.

Now it has emerged that Depeche Mode's Martin Gore has worked on a track with Ocean and it may well feature on the next record.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Gore's Depeche Mode bandmate Dave Gahan told how they'd bumped into the singer in a studio.

"We were in the studio in New York, and we were flming and recording some live tracks toward the end of the session... An assistant came up to me in between songs and said, 'Do you mind? Frank Ocean is here working in another studio and really wants to meet you guys'," Gehan explained.

"I wouldn't have thought he would have known who we are, but it turns out he's a big fan.

"Martin and [Depeche Mode/The Knife producer] Christoffer Berg ended up doing a track with him, which I think is going to be part of his new record. Martin did some electronics and some modular synthesizer stuff he really wanted," he added.

The 'Pyramids' singer was awarded a BRIT Award for Best International Male this week.

Speaking about his award Ocean said: "Before this year I didn't get many trophies in my life, and [now] I'm definitely a long way from working fast food in New Orleans."

Speaking to Zane Lowe about how his next album was progressing, Ocean revealed that he had plans to set up a studio in Bora Bora. He also said he'd been working with Pharrell Williams and that he was eager to work with King Krule.
