Ed Sheeran has said he believes that this year’s BRIT Awards surpassed the 2013 Grammys and were the better awards ceremony.
The ‘A Team’ singer attended both the Grammys and the BRITs award ceremonies and said that guests at the Grammys “hate each other,” The Sun reports.
“People are allowed to drink at the BRITs so they get a bit more loose and they get on,” Sheern explained.
“I think with the Grammys, people tend to get on only in front of the camera. And sitting there I was thinking, ‘These people hate each other’.”
Sheeran performed alongside Sir Elton John at the year’s Grammy Awards, with the two performing a rendition of Sheeran’s hit ‘The A Team’ together.
He was at the BRIT Awards not to perform but to present Ben Howard with his award for Best British Male, an award which Sheeran himself won in 2012.

Sheeran recently revealed that he nearly lost his phone containing songs for his second album before the ceremony.
The phone was later found in the car that delivered the singer to the event and returned to him.
