More about: Daft Punk
The Daft Punk 2013 comeback has official begun. The French dance legends have revealed a new image on their official website, confirming their new deal with record label Columbia.
The new image was uploaded to the official Daft Punk website, which sees the two iconic helmets worn by Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manual De Homem Christo together as one headpiece. Traffic to the website, just to see the image, has crashed www.daftpunk.com, such is the interest in their new work together.
Daft Punk are expected to release new music in 2013, with collaborator Nile Rogers suggesting that the duo will have premiered material by Spring. The album will be their fourth studio release.
In a post titled '2013 won't be boring', Rogers wrote on his personal blog about plans to visit Japan in the coming year, writing: "The next time I set foot in Japan, my collaboration with Daft Punk would have started to hit people's eardrums, as well as a number of songs I'm working on over the next few months with a select group of artists."
He also posted a number of photoshopped images showing him with the duo, dressed in their trademark robot costumes.

Rumours had previously suggest Daft Punk would perform at Coachella or Glastonbury in 2013, but Emily Eavis has since denied the Glasto rumour, while Rob Da Bank of Bestival has stated that the 'One More Time' stars will not be touring in 2013.
