Great things are expected of AlunaGeorge this year, with many eager to see if the talented duo manage to make the jump to mainstream success.
This week sees them unveil a brand new track, 'Attracting Flies', hot off the back their immensely popular Disclosure collaboration 'White Noise'.
An arguably more commercially friendly track than the pair have previously offered, Aluna Francis' vocals still provide the song with its focus and character, while a pipe-flute melody line gives the tracks an airy and almost retro feel.
At times drawing on the popularly established techniques of acts like The Knife, the track falls short of the dancey irresistibility of 'White Noise', but shows an act eager to ingratiate themselves with a wider audience, and managing to do so without sacrificing too much of what makes them so distinct.
Likely to attract a bounty of praise from the listening public, 'Attracting Flies' is another reason for fans to get excited about AlunaGeorge's debut album, set for release in July.
