If you've got an issue with interpretive dance, you might have an issue with Atoms For Peace's new video.
True to Thom Yorke's quirky form, Atoms For Peace's new video for 'Ingenue' opens with a solitary figure, dressed in a three-piece suit alone in front of a white screen.
The figure gradually breaks into a limbsy dance, twisting and stepping around the room.
It takes a little while to relise that the pony-tailed figure is alternately York himself and female dancer Fukiko Takase.
The two eventually appear simultaneously, with York and Takse interacting as they interpret the song's message through body language.
Like the song, the video for 'Ingenue' seems odd and awkward, but is bizarrely compelling and enthralling. The writhing human figures don't look graceful by any means - certainly Yorke doesn't - but it's hard to turn away until they've performed their last move.
The monochrome setting of the clip works well with the cold electronics of the track, but Yorke's inclusion as the only band member in the video reminds that Atoms For Peace is very much a Thom Yorke project.
