Susan Boyle is making the move from singer to actress, as she films scenes for a new period drama film, The Christmas Candle.
The Britain's Got Talent singer is working on the film, which is a period drama, along with Sylvester McCoy, John Hannah, Barbara Flynn and James Cosmo.
Speaking about the film, Susan said, "I can’t believe I’m making a film. I’m very excited to be a part of The Christmas Candle. Everyone is a delight to work with.
"It’s a fantastic experience to be part of the team. I’m really enjoying getting dressed in the period costumes and stepping back in time."
She added, "It’s very cold filming on location so I’m wearing long johns under my bustle."
Anne Hathaway previously revealed that she used Susan as inspiration for her performance in Les Miserables.
Anne plays Fantine in the film version of the famous play, and sings the same song - 'I Dreamed A Dream' - that Susan Boyle chose to perform at her Britain's Got Talent audition.
The actress told OK! Magazine, "I think she's adorable, and her story was so heart-warming. Before I knew I was going to play Fantine, I'd watched that clip (of Britain’s Got Talent), when I was having a low day, and it just made me feel so wonderful.
"The thing about it was of course her, but the thing that's also fun is to watch Simon Cowell's mind racing, as a producer and an adding machine! I just loved that clip!"

Anne Hathaway went on to talk about performing the song, saying, "It was really exciting to take this iconic song, which is so beloved, and find a way to put it through the prism of film - and that meant having to go very, very, very deep inside myself to some uncomfortable places.
"But that's what we do, and those are the jobs that you remember and those are the ones that make you grow."
