Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis found himself in trouble at the NME Awards on Wednesday after he defied the ban on smoking indoors.
The band took to the stage to play a rollicking rendition of their track 'Inhaler', and the song won the Best Track award.
But Yannis got an ear-bashing from security later in the night when he was seen lighting up in the main hall at the Troxy, where the awards ceremony was being held.
He was then spotted lighting a fag indoors again, this time backstage.
The venue has a strict no smoking rule, but Yannis apparently had no intention of obeying it.
Foals recently missed out on their first number one record when the soundtrack to the much-lauded Les Miserables kept Holy Fire from the top spot.
The Foals frontman was apparently in no mood to step outside for his fag
The band were also recently doing their part for the community when they took part in a workshop at the Royal Albert Hall and taught local kids a track from the new album.
The band will play two shows at the Royal Albert Hall at the end of March, on a matinee and one an evening show.
