No matter what the media speculation might have been, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were never really in love according to a close confidante – Harry’s tattooist.
The pair’s relationship made for international gossip over Christmas, but proved to be short-lived with the two splitting earlier this year.
But according to Styles’ LA tattooist there was never any spark between the 1D lad and Swift.
“Harry and Taylor didn’t seem in love at all,” Freddy Newgrete told the Daily Star.
“There wasn’t a sparkle in Harry’s eye,” continued the tattoo artist, who met the pair last year.
“They were kind and respectful to each other but didn’t have stars in their eyes.
“They seemed more like friends. Harry wasn’t in love and it wasn’t serious for him. They weren’t romantic at all. He was just casual – they weren’t staring into each other’s eyes.
“Taylor came in towards the end of his ship tattoo and sat with him but there was nothing magical going on.”

Newgrete also revealed that Harry took the pain of his tattoos like a man and was witty and friendly during the sessions.
