This year’s Record Store Day will see releases from some of the biggest bands in the world, with The White Stripes leading the way with a 10th anniversary reissue.

Jack White is the official ambassador for Record Store Day 2013, and his label Third Man Records have confirmed they’ll be releasing a limited edition double version of The White Stripes Elephant LP on vinyl for the April 20 event.

The record will be released on black vinyl later this year, but the Record Store day pressings with be split-colour black and red vinyl on one side with the other coloured completely white.

A digital download and printed inner sleeve will be included with the vinyl, which is mastered directly from the original analog source.

But The White Stripes aren’t alone, with Warner Bros announcing a host of Record Store day releases.

The Black Keys are set to release a 7” that will feature their cover of The Stooges’ ‘No Fun’ and the original song on the B-side.

Foals will release their new album Holy Fire on vinyl with a 7” containing ‘Bluebird’ and a Friendly Fires remix of ‘My Number.

The Black Keys will be releasing a special 7" for Record Store Day

There will also be releases from The Flaming Lips, Iron & Wine and Tegan And Sara.

In a statement, Jack White said: “We need to reeducate ourselves about human interaction and the difference between downloading a track on a computer and talking to other people in person and getting turned onto music that you can hold in your hands and share with others.”
