Daft Punk have premiered the first snippet of new music from their upcoming fourth studio album, in a short clip that was aired during Saturday Night Live on the weekend (2 March 2013). Check out the clip below.

The clip shows the famous Daft Punk logo laced with glitter, turning towards the screen whilst an exceedingly funky beat plays in the background before we see the final image of two iconic helmets worn by Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manual De Homem Christo.

The final image was released last week (26 February) as part of Daft Punk’s comeback campaign and was responsible for crashing the dance duo’s website as fans went online to see the new picture for themselves.

Daft Punk are fully expected to release their fourth studio album later this year and collaborator Nile Rodgers has said the pair should have new music out by spring.

The Daft Punk comeback is well and truly underway!

Rogers wrote on his personal blog: The next time I set foot in Japan, my collaboration with Daft Punk would have started to hit people's eardrums, as well as a number of songs I'm working on over the next few months with a select group of artists."

Rumours had previously suggest Daft Punk would perform at Coachella or Glastonbury in 2013, but Emily Eavis has since denied the Glasto rumour, while Rob Da Bank of Bestival has stated that the 'One More Time' stars will not be touring in 2013.
