A handful of Justin Bieber's 35 million Twitter followers vented their teenage wrath against a Hampshire schoolgirl after she made a casual comment about his new album - which was then retweeted by the Canadian star.

15-year-old Courtney Barrasford was told to listen to Bieber's latest album by friends from her drama class in Hampshire even though she didn't really like the star's previous music.

After listening to the album, Barrasford tweeted: "Not really a fan of Justin Bieber but his acoustic album is actually good," gaining a retweet from Bieber which meant his millions of followers saw the message.

A barrage of jealous abuse was sent to Barrasford as fans of Bieber were outraged at the fact someone who was 'not even a fan' had been noticed by the 19-year-old singer.

One message to Barrasford read: "I am a Belieber of him since 2009 and he didn’t notice me. And you’re not even a f**king fan. You get noticed. OMG."

The 'Beliebers' came out in force to send messages of disappointment to their idol as well, tweeting messages like this: "U notice her n she’s not even a fan. I am but you won’t notice me Can anyone hear me crying?"

However, it wasn't all bad news and abuse for Barrasford as she was sent some messages apologising on behalf of Bieber fans.

One fan wrote: "Wow I'm sorry for the way some of Justin's fans are treating you. There are some good ones tho.. I hope you're ok!"
