MGMT have announced an eighteen date US tour, which includes Firefly, Kanrocksas and Bunbury festivals.
The concerts will be the band's first live shows of 2013, and are set to kick off on 26 April at Penn State, PA and finish on 13 July at Bunbury festival in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The tour is ramping up excitement for the band's new album, which will be a follow-up to 2010's Congratulations - and is said to be 'even weirder'.
Bandmember Ben Goldwasser told Rolling Stone magazine, "We're not trying to make music that everyone understands the first time they hear it."
Other half of the duo, Andrew VanWyngarden added, "There's no illusion on [Columbia Records'] part that we're going to turn into a Top 40 band. That's kind of comforting."
The album apparently has a song called 'Alien Days' which, according to VanWyngarden, is "about that feeling when a parasitic alien is in your head, controlling things."

MGMT have also promised a 'special' release for Record Store Day, which will arrive on 20 April.
