Paloma Faith has spoken in support of Jake Bugg's One Direction criticism, claiming she can't understand why the boyband have been compared to The Beatles.
The 'Picking Up The Piece' star hasn't quite echoed the ferocity of Bugg's comments however, after he slammed One Directions talents saying they 'must know they are awful' and that they 'don't have a clue' about music. Faith is, however, baffled by the comparisons with The Beatles.
"Well I think if you're comparing someone to the Beatles then, yeah," she tells Bang Showbiz. "The main thing about The Beatles was that they were brilliant songwriters, that's why they were so successful, so it's a strange comparison to make."
The singer will need to watch her Twitter feed after daring to diss One Direction, as Jake Bugg was previously inundated by angry tweets from 1D fans furious at such high profile criticism of their idols.
Jake Bugg has recently shared his opinions on One Direction - and it wasn't pretty
Twitter user @Hazzappenin_1D writing, "f**king prick, talking s**t about other more successful artists out of envy out of immaturity out of LACK OF HUMILITY. F**k off."
@kerrystitt tweeted Bugg saying, "lol slag one direction!! Do you have 9million+ followers or any number one albums ha no so sit down and shut up."
