The Rolling Stones look set to play an 18 date US tour in the first half of 2013 according to a 'concert business source' of Rolling Stone magazine.
The legendary rockers are reportedly planning to embark on a North American tour later this year and will play 'fewer than 20 dates' starting on 2 May 2013.
A source told Rolling Stone: "2 May is the launch day. I've heard West Coast cities – L.A. And Seattle. But I think they're going to do some back East as well."
The band members have remained tight-lipped up until now and have told fans to wait for official announcements before getting too excited. Guitarist Keith Richards said: "Really, all you're going to have to do is wait for an announcement."

This follows the news that The Rolling Stones will be playing at this year's Glastonbury after Kasabian's Serge Pizzorno let slip that the band would be making an appearance.
Pizzorno accidently broke the news when discussing his band's upcoming performance at Hard Rock Calling which will take place on the same weekend as Glastonbury.
He told MTV News: "I hope ours is the most talked about performance of the weekend, but that would be a miracle because The Rolling Stones are playing Glastonbury."
