Azealia Banks has launched an aggressive Twitter rant against The Stone Roses, wishing death upon the Madchester lads, and suggesting they made racist remarks against her.
Both Banks and The Roses are playing the Future Music Festival in Australia and the rapper apparently believes The Stone Roses were trying to sabotage her set but soundchecking while she was performing.
“Big apologies on behalf of the stone roses to my fans at the festival today,” she tweeted.
“My ex tour manager made a pact with the stone roses saying they’d sabotage my set because I fired him and they decided to check their equipement behind me during my set.”
And to prove that she completely believes her conspiracy theory accusations Banks then posted a series of angry tweets aimed at the band, including one wishing them death.
“F**k those old saggy white n**gas stone roses. I wish them nothing but excrement and death,” read one.
“Wow! I must really f**king be a superstar... You’ve got an established band trying to sabotage my lil rap b**ch shine,” said another.
Finally Banks made clear just how much of a victim she was posting: “Wow a bunch of old white men trying to bully a young black girl... What the f**k else is new in this world??”
Banks doesn't have a problem picking fights with anyone
Given her recent behaviour and attitude to other musicians, both on Twitter and elsewhere, people might be slightly wary of believing Banks’ claims of a conspiracy to sabotage her set and the implicated racism of The Stone Roses.
In the recent past Banks has had Twiiter based fights with fellow rapper Angel Haze and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, leading to substantial criticism of her use of homophobic language.
