Adele must be getting close to running out of things to achieve in her singing career. Having already won a BRIT, a Grammy and an Oscar this year, the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer has now been asked to perform at Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday next year.
The Daily Mail reports Adele has been asked to sing at the birthday do alongside Beyonce at the White House event to be held on January 17 2014.
A source told the newspaper: “America’s First Lady will be holding a huge celebrity-packed party for her birthday at the White House next year and, as she adores Adele and Beyonce, she has asked them both to sing.”
And Adele has apparently decided to forego her usual fee as she feels so honoured o be asked.
“Adele has graciously accepted [the invite to perform] and waived her usual fee for the high-profile private performance,” the source continued.
“She will sing a selection of her most-loved hits for the First Lady and her friends,” the source explained, adding “the Obamas will pay Adele’s expenses as it’s a private party, , not a State one.”
Adele recently said she’s like to start work on a new record, but that she won’t be doing so until she feels like she has something to write about.

Her last studio album, 21, has achieved remarkable success on both sides of the Atlantic.
It recently became the fourth biggest selling album of all time in the UK, overtaking Oasis’ (What’s The Story) Morning Glory.
In the States figures recently revealed that 21 was the country’s biggest selling record for the second year in a row.
