Justin Bieber has been forced to cancel a gig in Portugal tonight (12 March) due to 'unforeseen circumstances', but US sources claim those circumstances are the fact that few tickets have been sold.
Following a hugely troubled run during his UK visit (fans in tears after two hour delay at London's O2 and a brawl with a photographer outside his hotel), it was thought that Bieber had cancelled his second Portugal gig due to his hectic lifestyle. Now it seems lack of interest in the show is to blame.
US gossip website TMZ claims that just 60% of tickets for tomorrow night's gig were sold, which would have left the Pavilhao Atlantico little over half full. An embarrassing situation for one of the world's biggest pop stars.

A statement on the venue's official website blamed 'unforeseen circumstances' for the cancellation, saying: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber was forced to cancel the second performance in Portugal, March 12," before attempting to stir excitement for his one remaining show in the country, adding: "The Canadian singer is eager to play for the Portuguese fans on March 11."
