Ed Sheeran has revealed that the rumours he may be dating US country star Taylor Swift have made him 'feel like a stud' even if they are totally untrue.
The British singer was surprised that people believed he could actually be dating Swift after he was spotted leaving her hotel in the early hours and wearing the same clothes that he went in with.
Sheeran told New Zealand broadcaster, TVNZ that he kept thinks strictly professional: "I did go to her hotel, I did stay there 'til four and I did leave in the same clothes," he said.
"But I was playing her my new record. It was strictly that kind of thing.
"Literally, I went in there and we passed the guitar back and forth and played songs to each other."

Sheeran also admits to being 'impressed' with the fact that even his closest friends were messaging him to ask if the Swift rumours were true.
He added: "The thing that impressed me with the media is that because they wrote about it, my mates believed it.
"And my mates are texting me being like 'is it true?' so I said it wasn't but the fact that people can believe it makes me feel like a bit of a stud, you know?"
Unfortunately for those excited by the rumours, 'The A-Team' hitmaker is adamant that he would never enter into a relationship with Swift as the pair are due to tour together and she is also an ex of one of his best pals, Harry Styles.
Sheeran said: "I've got to be honest because one of my best friends did date her. I'm not that kind of guy. But the fact that people believed it impressed me a little bit.
"Six months on the road with someone, that could get a bit awkward."
