Rumours that Mariah Carey and Prince will perform at Glastonbury this year have been denied by organiser Emily Eavis.
The daughter of festival founder Michael Eavis told followers on Twitter that neither would perform at the event, following rumours that Carey was 'in discussion' to headline the festival and that Prince was the top pick for organisers to top the bill.
"Three nonsense headliner stories in a week, all completely untrue ... Real news will be with you soon!" Eavis tweeted, suggesting an official announcement is just around the corner.
After taking a year off in 2013, the Glastonbury line-up has been a fiercely debated subject, with Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and many more having been linked with a headline slot at the huge show. Emily Eavis previously stated that Stone Roses would not be performing at the event.
A number of names have been confirmed for the event. Azealia Bank and Alt-J have both let slip that they will be performing at the festival, while Nas, AlunaGeorge, Disclosure and Rudimental have been announced for the festival's dance arena.

The source added: "Nothing has been signed yet, but discussions have been opened and both parties seem keen."
It now appears, that this was a load of absolute nonsense.
