Ed Sheeran will need to watch his step on stage in the future, after taking a painful-looking tumble onto his face after falling from a speaker during a show in Nebraska. Watch a video of the incident below.

The 22-year-old was performing 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' as part of his opening set for US star Taylor Swift, but took a pretty big fall before bouncing back up and continuing with the track.

Seemingly uninjured, Sheeran was performing in Omaha, Nebraska as he continues his US tour with Swift which also sees the pair perform their collaboration 'Everything Had Changed' together.

Speaking of the singer's fall, an eyewitness revealed seeing Sheeran's fall was a shock, but it didn't take anything away from the event: "I gasped and was like 'OMG get up'. So scary! Happy he was okay... an all around amazing concert!"

Sheeran may have fallen over on stage but he has firmly denied the rumours that he has fallen for his touring buddy and American popstar Taylor Swift.

He recently told New Zealand broadcaster, TVNZ: "I did go to her hotel, I did stay there 'til four and I did leave in the same clothes.

"But I was playing her my new record. It was strictly that kind of thing.

"Literally, I went in there and we passed the guitar back and forth and played songs to each other."
