Justin Bieber has made an apology for comments made about Lindsay Lohan (and her taxes) in a now-deleted post on Instagram.

The 'Baby' singer posted a long rant on his Instagram account, which included the line, "And to those comparing me to Lindsey Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements ;)" Although he deleted it, TMZ reported that Lohan was 'appalled' by Bieber's comments.

He has now apologised for the Lohan slam, saying that the comments were wrong and partly why he removed it, although he did add it back with the Lohan comment taken out.

Bieber told TMZ, "My post was only up for a few minutes but I realised right away that what I said at the end was wrong and distracted from what I was trying to say.

"I immediately deleted it and rewrote it so it would show what I was really feeling and those words are up now."

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, also hit out at the British press in support of the young star, labelling them 'full of s**t'.

Bieber admits he shouldn't have commented on Lohan in online rant

"The British tabloids are full of s**t," Braun told E!. "There’s nothing wrong with him. He’s in a great place. Tell everyone Justin is good, really good."

He also responded to the claim that Bieber's Lisbon concert was cancelled due to poor ticket sales, saying that this was not true. Braun said that the concert was cancelled because of a scheduling clash, adding, "It has nothing to do with anything other than that."
