Ed Sheeran has revealed his reasons for not wanting to enter into a relationship with US popstar Taylor Swift as he romantically explained that it is 'not a necessity' to sleep with a girl 'just because she's your friend'.
'The A-Team' hitmaker has recently had to deny rumours that he was dating Swift as he was spotted leaving her hotel wearing the same clothes that he went in with. Sheeran had told a New Zealand Broadcaster that the pair were just 'passing the guitar back and forth.'
Explaining his reasons further, Sheeran told The Sun: "You don’t have to bang a girl just because she’s your friend. It's not a necessity.
"So that’s why I’d never go there with her. I wouldn’t want to spoil things."

Swift has recently split from One Direction star Harry Styles in a well publicised break-up and revealed that Sheeran would have to be committed if the pair were to enter into a relationship.
She told The Sun: "There’s really no sound quite as loud as a phone not ringing, a letter unanswered.
“I don’t quite understand it, because I either want to be with you or I don’t. And we’re not going to mess things up by, like, accidentally making out.
“I’m not trying to scare you, I’m not pointing a gun at you – I’m offering to be with you."
Swift recently performed her hit single 'I Knew You Were Trouble' in front of ex Harry Styles at the Brit Awards 2013. The American singer revealed it was easy to get into the emotion of the track with Styles in attendance.
She added: "It’s not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching."
