The Weeknd has revealed that the title of his second studio album is Kiss Land.

The record will be a follow-up to his 2012 debut Trilogy, and will be supported by The Weeknd's upcoming UK tour.

Taking to Twitter to announce the news, the singer-songwriter - whose real name is Abel Tesfaye - wrote, "Gonna drop some information for the fans today".

He then followed it up with a photo simply captioned "album title." The photo was a black square with 'Kiss Land' written in green, over The Weeknd's name.

The Weeknd's last album, Trilogy, was a collection from his previous three mixtapes, House of Balloons, Echoes of Silence and Thursday - and was certified gold in the US and Canada.

He recently released the video for latest single 'Twenty Eight', which he said was the "last piece of Trilogy."

The Weeknd is playing a series of gigs this month, before returning to the UK in November for a string of dates in London, Manchester and Birmingham.

The short tour kicks off at Birmingham's NIA before taking in Manchester's MEN Arena and concluding at the O2 Arena in London. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
