17 March 2013: Last night in Manchester, Eels kicked off their UK tour in (casual) style, with frontman E taking to the Manchester Academy stage in a tracksuit, ensuring the show was a comfortable one.
The band are on the road after the release of new album, Wonderful Glorious in February of this year - and we spoke to E about his live career earlier this month, where he told us it was easier to pick the worst shows of his career rather than single out any of the best.
"What the lame audience doesn't understand is that it is a collective process, you gotta give something back to get our best," he said. "That's what's fun about a rock show, we're all part of it together. But it's rare for us to have an audience that we would call lame."
