British folk rockers Mumford & Sons have confessed to not being very rock 'n' roll.

The band's banjo player Winston Marshall lifted the lid on the group's soft side in an interview with The Sun - although it's not a particularly big shock.

Marshall said, "We're not, like, hard men. We're emotional. We're not rock'n'roll. If AC/DC apologised, that’d be the end of their career. But someone doesn’t say hello to us and we’re like, ‘I cannot believe the gall!’"

The popular four piece who released their second album Babel last September are currently touring Europe with their latest record.

Frontman Marcus Mumford went on to reveal how the soft folk stars haven't properly grasped how to use mobile phones either. The singer said: "Every day I use my phone and I have no idea how it works. Whereas I see an acoustic guitar played with gusto and I understand just how it works."

The band are billed to play T in the Park this summer and are also being heavily linked with a Glastonbury appearance in June.

However, they won't be playing Teenage Cancer Trust - Noel Gallagher recently revealed that the band rejected him when he asked.
