The David Bowie Is exhibition is already the most popular in the Victoria & Albert museum's history - and it hasn't even officially opened yet. 42,000 advance tickets have already been sold, which is more than double the amount sold for any other exhibition the museum has held - and the exhibition officially opens on 23 March.

If you can't wait that long, however, then don't worry - because we've got some sneaky photos to share with you. Admittedly, it's not quite the same as going to see the entire spectacle for yourself, but it'll do for now.

From Bowie's famous striped Aladdin Sane bodysuit, which the star wore on tour in the summer of '73, to giant screens of the man himself, there's a level of access to Bowie here that hasn't been seen before. While he wasn't a curator of the exhibit, he did give the museum "unprecedented access" to choose costumes, photographs and other memorabilia.
