Sigur Ros have revealed the details for what will be their eagerly anticipated seventh studio album. The record will be called Kveikur and will be released on 17 June, 2013.
The album follows the release of new single 'Brennistein', the video for which has premiered online today (22 March, 2013). The Icelandic three-piece have recently completed a sell-out UK tour, which was met with rave reviews.
The band have also announced further live shows for 2013, including a date at London's Wembley Arena on 21 November 2013, with further UK dates in Dublin, Nottingham and Brighton.
The band have also revealed the artwork for Kveikur, which compliments the darker, hard sound heard on the 'Brennistein' single. See the artwork below.
Kveikur will have a darker, electronic sound than previous Sigur Ros albums
