Watch: Bruce Springsteen shares stage with young lookalike in Australia

Bruce Springsteen has shared stages with some of the biggest names in music, but recently invited a young boy dressed exactly like The Boss in his heyday to get up on stage with him at a gig in Australia. See a video of the heartwarming moment below.

The boy was dressed in the same outfit that Springsteen famously wore on the cover of his 1984 album Born in the USA, which led to Springsteen choosing him from the crowd and inviting him on stage.

The boy was wearing the white shirt and blue jeans from the cover, and also had a red baseball cap attached to his jeans to make it look like it was tucked into his back pocket.

In the video, the boy sings part of Springsteen's 2003 hit 'Waitin' on a Sunny Day', before Springsteen helps him carry out a knee slide across the stage. He then ruffles the boy's hair before helping him back into the crowd.

There's no doubt that the event made the young fan's day, as evidenced by the big grin on his face throughout.

Watch the video below:

A blog post on Springsteen's website explains, "One lucky boy, around eight or nine, mimicked Bruce's look from the cover of the album – with a red cap in his back pocket. It earned him a spot on the microphone during 'Waitin' on a Sunny Day', which was only bettered by Bruce suggesting the pair embark on a knee slide in the song's final bars.

"Super cool: it's up there with the great knee slide from the Super Bowl."
