A source close to James Arthur has revealed that we can expect a new single from the X Factor champion at the end of May this year with an album pencilled in for a July release.
Arthur took a break from partying with his friends in Miami to work with Amy Winehouse producer Salaam ReMi and has apparently been 'pouring his heart and soul into his lyrics'.
The source told Heatworld: "Some of the songs have got a real Boyz II Men r‘n’b vibe to them.
“There are also some quite emotional tracks. He’s written about his family, in particular about how close he is to his sisters. He’s surprisingly sensitive and has really poured his heart and soul into his lyrics."
Can we expect a new single from James Arthur in May?
The 25-year-old hit the headlines recently after responding to Will.i.am's, 'who's James Arthur' comment by taking to Twitter to let the former Black Eyed Peas rapper know exactly who he is.
Arthur tweeted: "Who's James Arthur?" .. He was the dude keeping you off the top spot for weeks.. sights set higher than the voice #whereisthelove".
The X Factor 2012 winner has also spoken out about his battle with depression, as part of Red Nose Day's ongoing efforts to raise awareness.
"Sometimes I can't sleep, I've got that many creative ideas going round my head," Arthur said, of his mental health. "I get the guitar out and start singing at the top of my voice until I feel any anxiety draining away. Music is my coping mechanism. Singing something passionately releases that energy."
