Devastated fans of rockers My Chemical Romance are demanding the band for a farewell tour, with 6,000 signing an online petition for more gigs.
In a statement to fans, MCR said: "Being in this band for the past 12 years has been a true blessing. We've gotten to go places we never knew we would. We've been able to see and experience things we never imagined possible."
"We've shared the stage with people we admire, people we look up to, and best of all, our friends. And now, like all great things, it has come time for it to end. Thanks for all of your support, and for being part of the adventure."
Now, over 6,000 fans have taken action and signed a petition on Change.org calling for a final tour from the band. The petition began shortly after news of the split broke on Saturday, 23 March 2013. Click here to sign the petition.
The fan responsible for the campaign stated as he began the petition: "They ended so abruptly without saying goodbye to their fans properly, and the MCRmy is upset. They need to do it correctly if they're going to do it at all."

My Chemical Romance fans from across the globe have shared their sadness at the band's split by signing the petition and leaving distressed messages on the website.
"This band has impacted my life in so many ways, and I don't think that I would be the same person today without them," wrote Florida fan, 'Tabitha'. "A fan for seven years, and It has been my dream to see them and meet them. Without them, it's hard. It's hard trying to accept that I might not ever get to say my thank yous. I love them, sincerely. They were my friends when I had none. They are my heros."
