US r&b star Ne-Yo claims Tulisa has the right attitude to score success in America, but claims her music may need a little work before she is ready for it.
The former N-Dubz star recently supported Ne-Yo on his UK tour, and the 'Beautiful Monster' singer has praised his warm-up act, but admits he hasn't listened to a lot of her music.
"Tulisa definitely has the attitude to break America," says Ne-Yo in a new interview with Heat magazine, but says of her music: "I haven't heard too much.
"The stuff I have heard has been good - you know, there is always room for improvement," he tells the gossip magazine. "As far as her music goes she would have to do some stuff that catered to the States."
Tulisa's debut album The Female Boss was something of a flop in the UK, reaching a lowly No.35 when it was released at the end of 2012.

Despite Ne-Yo's belief Tulisa can crack the US, the 'Sight Of You' singer recently revealed she had her sights set firmly on the UK, and was requesting 'beats' from rising UK producers - and had turned down offers to work in America.
"I'm going to make a few singles soon, and I want to take my sound back to basics. I want to just make songs that I really love from now on," she says, quotes Contactmusic. "My first single 'Young' got to number one, and that's because it was a very UK-sounding track - and I realise now that's what the fans want."
She also reveals that she has turned down the offer to work with big name producers in America to secure a hit single, adding: "I've been offered the opportunity to go back to the US and work with massive producers, but I said no as I want to be more urban. I've been saying to ground-level UK writers, 'Send me beats.'"
