Justin Timberlake missed the estimated sales of a million copies in a week with his new album The 20/20 Experience - but he shouldn't be sad, he has still shifted an awful lot of albums.
The 'Suit & Tie' singer hit the top of the US Billboard charts with his long-awaited solo comeback album, with sales of 968,000 copies in its first week of release. It's the sort of sales figure that most ex-boyband members can only dream about.
The 20/20 Experience has given Timberlake his strongest first week slaes of his career to date, but pale to figures enjoyed during his N*Sync boyband days, when their 2000 album No Strings Attached top the stateside charts with sales of 2.42million in the album's first week on sale.
Justin Timberlake is set to tour the album later in 2013, with his manager revealing that plans were afoot for live shows, as well as his joint tour with hip-hop icon, Jay-Z.

"Johnny Wright announced the planned solo tour in an interview. When asked about solo tour plans, Wright said: “Yeah. Probably he’ll go out sometime in the fall. We haven’t routed that yet or figured out which cities we’re going to play," Digital Spy reports.
"I know we’ll start in North America first. But again, our focus is getting the album out and getting the Jay/Justin piece done. And I would say sometime in April/May we’ll announce when Justin is going out on his solo tour."
