Recent rumours suggested Kanye West might have reached new egotistical heights as he reportedly considered calling his next album I Am God.
But those rumours are apparently untrue. The album won't be called I Am God, which is instead the title of his upcoming single.
The Huffington Post reports a source has confirmed the single's title and made an attempt to explain it.
A 'reliable source in West's camp' told the HuffPost the new single would be called 'I Am God' and added: "We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being."
The site also suggests that the idea is that all peoples are manifestations of higher beings and that the title is a reference to Psalm 82.

The report appears to have been corroborated bya tweet from West's songwriter and spoken word artist Malik Yusef.
"@TeamKanyeChi its "I am(A) GOD" FAMO #psalm 82," Yusef posted.
Reports that West and his girlfriend Kim Kardashian are considering calling the child 'North' are yet to be commented on.
