Kings of Leon have confirmed that their 'youthful' sounding new album will be out in September this year.
The record is the band's sixth studio album, and will be the follow-up to 2010's Come Around Sundown. Although a title is yet to be announced, the album is finished and currently being sequenced.
Speaking about the record, bassist Jared Followill told NME, "I thought we were going to make a mature album but I'm amazed how youthful it sounds. It's like a mix of Youth and Young Manhood and Because of the Times."
He also told Rolling Stone in September, "We're just trying to have fun with it and just have a relaxed-type thing."
The band could debut some of that new material at V Festival, where they are set to headline alongside Beyonce.

V Festival directors Bob Angus, Simon Moran and Dennis Desmond said in a joint statement, "We’ve worked hard to bring fans an exciting and diverse line-up, securing Beyonce for an exclusive European Festival appearance and Kings of Leon as headliners is a great achievement.
"These acts along with one of the strongest bills in V Festival's 18 year history is something we are very proud of. We have a reputation for bringing fans the best world class acts and breakthrough artists, 2013 is set to be another sensational year."
