Twitter has reacted to the Glastonbury lineup announcement today, and it's a bit of a mixed response.

Headliners The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons have got many fans excited at the prospect of seeing some of music's biggest names, but others have been disappointed by safeness of the selection of acts.

"The sun is shinning and the Glastonbury line up is amazing! #awesomeday #twisto #glasto," one person tweeted.

But another posted: "#Glasto line-up not earth-shaking (though may be more surprises to come) Am looking forward to the Stones & @nilerogers w/ Chic though!"

Some tweeters made no effort to hide their disappointment with the headline acts. "If Mumford & Sons were playing in my back garden I wouldn't watch them, I'd probably go all Tony Martin and shoot the lot of them #Glasto."

Many UK festivals have upped their game in terms of lineups this year, and some people feel that Glastonbury doesn't measure up.

"Actually think #T in the Park and #VFestival have the strongest line up this year f**k all this #Glasto bo**ocks," an unimpressed tweeter posted.

Early rumours that Fleetwood Mac and Daft Punk might be included in the line-up has also left the official line-up looking a little weak.

As one person wrote: "Love the Stones but everything is ruined by the earlier rumours of Fleetwood Mac. Nothing else would compare after I heard that. #Glasto"

Others were more concerned about the catering than the bands on offer, with one person tweeting, "As long as the jerk chicken concession next to the Jazz World stage is back, I honestly don't care who's on the bill. #glastonbury."

This year's Glastonbury lineup

There are still more acts to be announced, with many hoping there will be some welcomed surprises in store, but the headliners announcement has left many distinctly unenthused.

"I can't work out if the #glastonbury line up makes me feel too young or too old. Either way, it definitely makes me feel 'meh'," one tweeter posted, summing up the attitude of many.
