X Factor boyband Union J have signed a deal to write their memoirs, despite the fact that they haven't even released any music yet.

The boys came fourth in the series and were put together as a band after George Shelley had originally auditioned solo. Since their elimination, Union J haven't relased music - but fans can now expect to read all about them.

Daniel Bunyard from Penguin publishers said, "I'm over the moon to be working with Union J on their first book. They have huge talent, a great chemistry together and a genuine passion towards what they're doing.

"This will be a massive title for later this year, packed full of exclusive, beautifully-shot photography."

The band added, "We are very excited to be working with Penguin on our first book and are looking forward to the chance to tell our stories, of how we came together and where we came from, as well as the journey we've taken since X Factor."

Union J will be putting pen to paper for a tell-all book

The deal also includes an annual about the band, which will be released through Puffin, in case a book isn't enough for fans to get their Union J fix.

The book is expected to be released in the autumn, after Union J's first single which is set to be released in June. However, it will still be released before their debut album comes out.
