Jessie J has hit back at critics of her role on The Voice, furious at suggestions she was 'charmless and rude' as the talent show returned to TV screens last weekend.
The second series of The Voice started on Saturday (30 March) and left viewers cold as many were annoyed by Jessie's 'attention seeking' antics.
Jessie used her Twitter account to defend herself by saying, "And we hung out when? An edited version is never the full story. You wouldn't write a review on a book after reading 3 pages would you?"
The singer was responding to a series of negative reviews about Saturday's live show which all seemed to accuse Jessie of 'showing off' and 'being charmless'.

The Sun's TV critic, Ally Ross wrote: "But what really kills the mood is the malign presence of Jessie J, who still mistakes being charmless, rude, egotistical and unpleasant for being ‘real’."
Viewers also took to Twitter to air their views on Jessie's performance as one of the shows four judges.
Olivia Stewart said: "Been watching The Voice for one minute and I already want to slap Jessie J. Sit down you attention-seeking t*t."
The BBC show failed to beat Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway for the No.1 Saturday evening ratings slot as it received an average of 6.2 million compared to ITV's 7.2 million.
