JD Roots are once again celebrating the best in the UK's local music scenes, and Gigwise is offering readers tickets to the first shows of the 2013 event.
Following a hugely successful 2012 JD Roots event, which saw The Horrors, The Cribs and Twin Atlantic perform intimate gigs in their hometowns, this year's JD Roots event will do the same with Maximo Park and Miles Kane.
Maximo Park will perform a special show at Newcastle's Cluny, while Miles Kane will headline a show at Liverpool's Zanzibar, both returning to small venues in the cities where their careers began to take shape.
Tickets for these shows will be scarce (due to demand and, of course, the size of the venues) but we've teamed up with Jack Daniel's to offer two lucky winners the chance to attend the first JD Roots of 2013.
The winner of each competition will win two tickets to either Miles Kane in Liverpool or Maximo Park in Newcastle, as well as travel and accomodation for either gig. For more information, visit www.jackdaniels.com/music.
