Justin Bieber has been given a four week deadline to collect his pet monkey Mally from a German animal welfare centre.
The star's capuchin monkey was quarantined after he tried to smuggle it into Germany last week on a private jet, and so far no one from Bieber's team has contacted the centre. Instead, Mally has been kept in a cage with a stuffed toy and a photo of the 'Beauty and a Beat' singer for company.
German officials have now given Bieber four weeks to collect 14 week old Mally - although it's said that several German zoos have offered to give Mally a home if Bieber does not collect it in time.
"If he hasn't gotten in touch with us by then, the customs office will probably release it to our care indefinitely and then we'll find it a new home," said animal caretaker Karl-Heinz Joachim to to DW news. "It won't be someone's house where the animal is kept alone. It will be a place appropriate for the species."
According to The Sun, Austrian vet Kurt Grabenwoeger labelled Bieber's actions 'monstrous', saying, "These monkeys not only need to be with their mothers for at least a year, but they should also be surrounded by their family group.
"They are living creatures - not celebrity accessories like a handbag. Imagine a human baby sent off on a world tour at ten weeks - would anyone allow that?"

Welfare centre boss Karl Joachim also spoke out on Bieber's selfish behaviour, saying, ""He was snatched from his mother when he was around nine weeks old. That is much too early. He is clearly traumatised at being taken away from his family.
"We could not get him to eat until we gave him the cuddly toy he was clinging to when he was delivered to us. This obviously acts as a kind of surrogate parent. He keeps calling a lot for company — without his toy he won’t eat at all."
