Lord Henry Mountcharles, the owner of Slane Castle in Ireland, says he believes Richie Sambora will return to Bon Jovi when the band hit the UK for their strings of gigs this summer.

The guitarist has pulled out of the band's current US shows, although Mountcharles claims he has been told that Sambora will be back for the band's Slane castle gig on 15 June.

"He is out of the current leg of the tour," says the owner to the Belfast Telegraph. "The latest news that I have is that he will be back for the summer."

Gossip website TMZ claims that a feud between Sambora and frontman Jon Bon Jovi is to blame for the tour split.

"Tensions between Jon and Richie have been running high for years and it's finally erupted," says the website. "It's a classic Jagger/Richards blowup."

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi addressed Sambora's absense at the band's Calgary show this week, telling audience at the concert: "I had two choices: pack up and go home or give you everything I got ... Richie Sambora won't be performing for a while. If there's ever a night I need you, it's tonight, Calgary!"

Sambora has since thanked fans for the support shown by fans since his departure from the tour, tweeting: "Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in LA to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon."
