Leona Lewis has slammed the Grand National on Twitter, saying that she can't stand 'this bulls**t'.
Lewis has long been an outspoken supporter of animal rights and the Grand National regularly sees protests from animal rights activists, as a great number of horses usually have to be put down after they are injured in the event.
Taking to Twitter, Lewis said, "F**k the grand national. How about we put down the little t**ts that (are) running those poor horses into the ground. can't stand this bulls**t."
She also retweeted an article posted by someone else, which was a link to the Guardian and the caption, "Media exploiting murdered #GrandNational horses? How many horses must die for our amusement?"
Professor Green tweeted afterwards saying simply, "Leona swears!?"
Leona Lewis is not happy with the Grand National
Lewis is the patron of the Brentwood Animal Sanctuary and in 2008 was named PETA's Person of the Year. Last year she said, "Horses are 100% better that people. I love hanging out with my horse, chilling. They're so amazing and ethereal. I could hang with horses all day."
However, all 40 horses and riders returned safely this year - with no injuries.
